In the Fall of '99, I enrolled at SUNY Binghamton and submitted a regular comic called "Freestyle" for the Funpage of the school paper, Pipe Dream. The following year, I became the Funpage editor.

With comics you learn brevity, clarity, and how to look at your world in a critical way. Significantly, I learned that the most important thing for an artist is knowing what it is you want to say, which is in this case was that college kids are idiots.
